I can't find the light switch!

To my brain, that is... I had ANOTHER sleepless night last night. I think it was a combination of my brain going at mach 8 and the fact that I was STARVING.

I read over my WW points yesterday and I actually fell short, which is typically a no-no. I went to bed last night close to 11:30. At 12:51am, I sighed, and got out of bed. I walked into the kitchen, wondered what to grab (the carrots and grapes from earlier felt like they'd vaporized in my stomach upon entering), and found *drumroll* the cheez-its. ohhhh lordy... JUST what the doctor ordered. (don't let me forget to tell you the cupcake story from the night before...)

So anyway, I got online and started browsing again. I have a head full of DIY projects I want to do for this wedding, so I started researching templates and tutorials galore. p.s... I'm in love with this boutonniere.

From Etsy seller DesignWhimsy. Go check out her awesomeness.

Anyway, back to me being hungry at 1am... cheez-its did the trick, I finally got tired again, and crawled back into bed around 2. yeah... definitely am having a hard time getting up in the morning this week. Though I continually get better at waking up on time, it is still the bane of my existence. Anywhoodle. OH - cupcake story.

So you all know my will power disappears completely when confronted with such delicacies as cupcakes... ice cream... chocolate... etc. Friday night when the Laipplys came over to hang, we bought cupcakes. Kroger delicious vanilla cupcakes with 3 inch bright pink, yellow, and blue icing and sprinkles. I ate one. And then saturday I ate another. for breakfast. they continued to disappear, until there was one left on Monday night. Remember Sunday when I said I tried to run around Antrim park? and Jonathan told me my goal was to run the entire loop without stopping? Ok, so Monday we went. Jonathan and myself, with Jamie and Matt joining us, went for a run at Antrim Park. And I did it - I accomplished the goal of running the whole loop without stopping. Granted, my strides are so short that it looks like I'm shuffling rather than running, but eff you, I did it. So then we go home, and I made a nice salad with romaine lettuce, cut up tomato, green pepper, and some Zesty Italian Light dressing (with extra virgin olive oil!). I also ate some carrots. After dinner I decided it would be a good idea to hard boil some eggs, and I paced back and forth in the kitchen waiting for the water to boil so I could set the timer. Jonathan left the living room in pursuit of the little boys room, and I continued to pace. Every once in a while that last, lone little cupcake would sneak into my periphery. Bright pink. Beautiful. I'd look away, and continue to pace. I tried my best to ignore its pink fluffy deliciousness. I tried to concentrate on the water boiling. I thought about washing the dishes. I paced some more. The pink piece of heaven continued winking and batting its eyes at me. Finally, I broke down like a waterboarded Sean Hannity. I finally walked up to the plastic grocery store container, popped it open, pulled the cupcake out, and placed it on a plate. I peeled that little paper cup away and ate the bottom, leaving the top half with the icing for last. I glanced at the plastic container and noticed that there was icing smeared on the top half. I started scooping up the leftover bits of icing with my finger and managed to clean the container spotless in this method. Then, I saw the sprinkles. Nothing went to waste. Not one tiny piece of purple, orange, blue, or yellow nugget escaped. I tossed the empty container in the trash and went back to the rest of my cupcake. Ahhhh, bliss. I stood over the sink taking slow bites and savoring every morsel. Then I heard the toilet flush and the faucet in the bathroom running... uh oh. Finish this thing before Jonathan sees and gives you crap for eating crap!! I tried my best to eat faster but I didn't want to spoil the experience by inhaling it. I did the best I could. The eggs were finished and I took them off the burner and ran cold water. I went back into the living room where we proceeded to kick some a$$ on Rock Band. Before I went to bed Monday night, I went through my regular routine. To my horror, I saw that my teeth were BRIGHT PINK. Oh jeez... I felt like a little kid with his hand stuck in the cookie jar. Guilty as charged. Oh well... it was so worth it. In this battle of Kat vs. the Cupcake, the cupcake won. And I don't mind so much.

The rest of my week has gone fairly smoothly. I've managed to stay within my points, and I've worked out at least once a day. Sunday was run/walk, Monday was run/walk, and last night I worked out with the balance ball at home after our photographer meeting.

I'm looking forward to tonight's 311 show with Jamie (hooray for winning radio contests for free tickets!!!) and I will probably report on my progress (if there is any) after my WW meeting tomorrow.
