The Next Big Thing

We closed on our new home October 30, at 4:00pm. Oh. My. Gosh did that feel weird. Handing over a giant check, signing a dictionary's worth of papers, the whole process felt like a dream. We picked up keys, stopped at the apartment and picked up a few boxes and went over to the new place. It didn't feel like ours yet, but in time it would. We took a few days that week and painted in the bedrooms and kitchen (I'm still not sold on our kitchen color, but we haven't found anything better as of today...). After our friends and some family helped us move on November 7th, we were living in our new home!

It has been a dream come true. All the searching, all the negotiating, all the worrying - it was SO worth it. I am more and more in love with our house every minute. We are trying to spruce it up room by room, and we have the guest room done as well as what we can currently afford for the dining room. :) I have a set of photos on flickr - please feel free to stop by the page and check them out! You're house is so charming! I love it. The colors are AWESOME! With us moving every three years, I always feel like I've got to keep my colors neutral but the bold sure is BEAUTIFUL!!!
