The Skinny. Finally.

Heavens it's been too long! I'm sorry if any of you have been trying to keep up and seen nothing for the last few months. It's been rather... busy, shall we say? :) My last post was October 6th, which as of today is approximately 2 months and 11 days ago. Oy! The month of October was packed. In between working crazy hours, I went ahead and let Father Time take over and I turned 30. It wasn't a quiet birthday as I had originally expected. Desiree and Tom came in that night and after a rollicking session with the XBOX and Rock Band, we all retired around 1:30am that Friday the 16th. Jonathan mentioned heading up to the Farmers' Market in Worthington the next morning, so I planned on heading to my chiropractor's appointment at 9:30 and then coming back to get everyone in the car and head over. When I returned home from the appointment though, no one was ready to go quite yet and so I just sat down and began scrolling through Facebook, status stalking as usual. A knock came to the door, and in walks my Jamie with a lovely bouquet of flowers! It was such a nice surprise, but the best part was that she was kidnapping me, along with Desiree to a fantastic morning of manicures and pedicures. Our good friend Amanda also met us at the salon, so we had a fantastic girls' morning! It was stellar. I had gorgeous burnt orange nails and toes. After being pampered, I took myself out for a little shopping. I mainly went to Target. :) We had plans the night of my birthday for a dinner at Jamie and Matt's house so I got ready for that. On our way, Jonathan gasped and said that we'd forgotten the wine he'd picked out to take over with us. I suggested we could go pick some up, and he asked where a good spot was to do that. I figured since we were right there in Worthington, we could stop at that great little wine store, House Wine. He said ok, and we headed up there. We walked in, and I immediately went to the shelves looking for the perfect pairing. I turned around and then started to recognize a bunch of familiar faces... wait a minute, Jamie and Matt are already here??? Ohhh! I get it now. Jamie and Jonathan had conspired to plan a surprise birthday party for me. I was definitely surprised.

More later... I just wanted to fill you on how AWESOME my friends and family are. :)
