Last week I played with our P-O-S camera a little bit because I wanted to take some shots of my ring, and I kind of wanted to play with the macro focus on it. So, below are the results.
I shot this one on our bare mattress with an old shirt behind it. My biggest problem was attempting to keep the camera steady without the use of a tripod, even though I have one. 
This one was one of my favorites, but I don't like the lighting in it - it doesn't show the richness of the leather on my book and makes everything seem cold. I have no idea how to play with lighting - I was using the sunlight coming in from my window.
Above is my favorite of all the shots I took. It just seems raw, and you can really see the detail of the stone. I think I'm going to post the rest on flickr.
