One of the things Jonathan and I would like to do for our wedding is to send Save-the-date cards. We've been playing around online, looking at different companies who do invitations and
we have come across a couple of very fun types. However, stationery is something that neither one of us can justify spending much money on. I mean, it just gets thrown out, right? So we don't want it to be ridiculously expensive or TOO time consuming. We do want them to be fun and reflect our personalities a little bit. I've actually played with the idea of creating them myself, but I don't feel graphically inclined enough to do a good job. So, last week I sent out a message to some people who I thought either had the talent/creativity to do such a thing, or recently married and could recommend someone who could do it affordably. I'm still looking for that person but for now I have several leads I'm exploring. In the meantime, here are a few of the
designs I'm loving. Let me know what you think!

Also from Wedding Paper Divas. We sort of have an "old hollywood glamour" thing starting to emerge from our plans and fashion ideas, and I kind of like the look of the vintage font here.

Above, from Wedding Paper Divas' website. I love the modern looking all caps font and the city skyline below. Ours, of course, would be Columbus!

Last one from Wedding Paper Divas. I love the simplicity and elegance of this one. Plus, it's blue. Bonus!!

I love this one from Etsy seller WindlessMeadow. It reminds me of our occasional weekend trips to Panera with a good book and a yummy cup of coffee. This would probably be something we would do in a postcard style.

This one is another one I love. I dig the vintage style font and elegance, and it also expresses a little bit of whimsy. This was done by Etsy seller lilribber.
Anyway, those are just some of the cute designs I've seen out there. Let me know if you like any of them!! Or if you have any suggestions!

I like the one from Etsy. It's very creative. Although, where do you put the actual date?
if you click on the link, you should see a picture - it comes like a post card, and has the date and any other pertinent info on the back.
I like the vintagey ones. Especially the first one with the pink font :)
I guess my current state is admiring photography and because of this, I love the idea of the picture one with the newspaper and coffee shop!! That opens up so many ideas to me... like you and Jonathan could get a picture taken kissing and holding up signs (or written in the sand, on a wall, etc.) that say "Save the Date" or something.. I've seen it done with Thank You's but why not save the dates too.. Then all you would have to do is maybe do a little picture editing (nice black and white would look classic) and your cost would just be to get the photos printed.. I know snapfish does postcard printing too. Wow- probably way more than you wanted.. I just got a little excited. I found a couple links for examples (you'll have to copy and paste)..
