Congratulations to Bobbi

Bobbi was one of my very first friends when I moved from Michigan to Ohio in 1990. She was in my 5th grade class, and we spent a lot of time together. Bobbi introduced me to things like Doritos and Beverly Hills 90210, and the movie CryBaby with Johnny Depp. We used to sleep over at each other's houses, and I remember all her family members who came and went. Bobbi wanted to dance more than anything in the world, and she still loves music and dance. The first time I ever saw "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" was at Bobbi's house. I remember her dad running the house with an iron fist, but also being hysterical when he was entertaining us. I remember their dog, Boomer, and the farm out in the country. I remember her parties in the basement - SO MUCH FUN.

Bobbi and I have grown apart over the years, but we always manage to reconnect one way or another. This past Sunday, Bobbi graduated from Franklin University with a degree in Organizational Communications. She has fought tooth and nail to get that degree, raising two WONDERFUL sons on the way, dealing with every single obstacle with strength that she's obviously garnered from within. Bobbi will tell you that her dad has something to do with that strength, but I believe it comes from her heart.

I was able to spend some time with her, along with friends and family at Buca Di Beppo. It was wonderful to see her again, and she looks just as beautiful as she always has. I wish her all the luck that anyone could ever have. Congratulations, Bobbi!!!
