Guess what! The patio is finished!! (well, for this summer anyway...) Dad surprised us by showing up randomly with gravel, and then we got the rest of the pavers purchased along with a couple bags of sand. We spent about 3 hours putting the rest of the pavers down before the rain came overnight.

Jonathan tamps down the gravel base to create a more firm, flat surface.
Jonathan and Dad use a long 2x4 to make sure the pavers are level, adjusting the gravel levels underneath accordingly.
Dad and Jonathan added some paver sand (wet, gravelly sand) to the gravel to fill in any extra pockets.

Dad and Jonathan worked incredibly hard on this patio, and we have been out enjoying it as much as we can!!!
