Stuff on my mind

I've been sick this week. When I went to the doctor today, he diagnosed me with a hell of a sinus infection and gave me a prescription for penicillin and recommended I get the Sudafed you have to sign for at the pharmacy. I've been so miserable this week. It started on Monday with just a little tickle in my throat which would prompt this weak little cough that didn't sound like anything. Otherwise I felt fine. Monday night after I could barely eat anything I took some NyQuil and went to bed. Tuesday morning at 7:30 I woke up feeling like I'd been hit by a train! I had the works - really sore throat, body aches, stuffy head, everything. It hurt to cough, and I couldn't take deep breaths because that would force me to cough. Anyway, it's been like that for the last three days, and I actually asked the doctor today why I've been so sick this year. I feel like this happens once a month lately! He said it's possible I just keep getting smaller sinus infections and that the pollen in the air can exacerbate the condition in a lot of people. I'm basically just supposed to start taking an OTC allergy medicine every day now. Boo!!!

I got new glasses, which is awesome because my old ones were about 8 years old... yeah, needless to say my prescription is a bit old. I haven't worn them out much and they don't look TOO different from my old ones, but they have more of a cat eye shape.

I spent last weekend in Chicago hanging out with Desiree, who is also getting married next summer - next year is THE year for weddings! We checked out the Harry Potter exhibit at the museum of science and industry... I loved it! Sadly, you couldn't take pictures otherwise I'd have used up a memory card.

I guess the most exciting thing going on is planning a wedding. We've tentatively set a date - June 12, 2010!!! - all depending on contracts and whatnot. :) We're working on our little website but I won't post the link until it's finished and looking awesome!

I'm sure there's probably more but the Sudafed is kicking in and my brain is starting to turn into tapioca again.
