Twilight by Stephenie MeyerMy review
rating: 4 of 5 stars
I was actually hesitant to start this, but once I did I really wanted to finish it. It definitely got melodramatic at times with the whole young love and "OMG I can't live without you" crap that all teenagers deal with. Then you turn 30 and you're like, whatever, you're 17 and you don't know shit about shit. :) Anyway, enough of my opinions about teenagers. For a first novel, Stephenie Meyer did a lovely job of weaving a fun vampire story chapter to chapter. Like I said, I grew impatient with the melodrama (I thought I was reading a soap opera script at times), but it managed to keep me hooked. I liked the world she created for Bella, and I really liked that Bella was a strong and independent teenager. Now I just gotta watch that movie. ;)

DON'T WATCH THE MOVIE! If you're planning on reading more of the series, wait until you're done with that before you see the film. In my head, the story was much more beautiful and scenes were much more mysterious. :)
Well I'm already on New Moon so how far should I go before I watch?
Just finished it last night and immediately started on New Moon. Good stuff!!! So... you think she'll become a vampire???
I dunno! I finished New Moon this week. Jonathan's sister Samantha is sending me Eclipse and Breaking Dawn so I can finish the series. I can't wait to start them! Gah!
