We made our next stop at Cline vineyards, and when we informed the owner we'd just gotten engaged, he surprised us by letting us have a free bottle of wine!!! We chose the Cline Cashmere, which is a wonderful blend and proceeds benefit Breast Cancer Research. We hit some other places, but started to get hungry. We hit a little Mexican place called Villa Corona. While the food was decent, I was a little put off by the service and the "cheese" we got with the nachos. Moving along from there, we stopped at the Ravenswood tasting room. YUM!!! Jonathan and I actually have a connection to Ravenswood Zinfandel - it was the first bottle of red wine we ever shared when we first began dating. Awww!!! ;)
We also did the cave tour at Del Dotto Vineyards, a favorite of Jamie and Matt's. This was a really fun, educational stop. They introduced us to some of the barrels, how they are made, what kinds of wine do best in them, and the differences between American Oak and French Oak barrels. Of course the one I really wanted to buy to take home was $85... soooo that didn't actually come home with us.

After Del Dotto, we went to our hotel and decided to wander to the downtown area. Bad thing about Napa: Pretty much EVERYTHING closes at 5!!! I'm not sure who dictates this type of thing, but it makes me sad. We did end up going to a fun little bar that had some good pizza. And live jazz music!
I really liked Napa, but I wish that the places didn't close at 5pm!!! They had some cute second-hand stores that I would have absolutely spent money in!!!
